UFC on ESPN 13 Weigh-in Wrap up/Breakdown

Weigh-in Wrap up: Kenneth Bergh had weigh cutting complications and his fight with Jorge Gonzalez is off. Two more fighter missed weight, Abdul Razzak Alhassan missed by 3 lbs(174), and Chris Fishgold missed by 3 lbs(149).

Breakdown: Katter v Ige

This one is going to be fun. Both guys bring it and are not afraid to stand in the pocket and trade. Katter only has two losses in the UFC and the lose to Zabit could have gone the other way because Katter was surging in the last round. He will have a size advantage in every aspect. He has nasty boxing and also no slouch on the ground. Ige on the other hand is no easy out. Guys from the big island are a special breed to begin with and Ige looks like the next one up. He looked good in his fight against Barbosa and since losing his first fight in the UFC, he has gone on a six fight winning streak. He to has very good striking too. Whatever way you look at this fight, it will be a barn burner.

Rivera v Stamann: Both guys will be moving up in weight for this one. Rivera came out guns blazing at 135. He was on a 19 fight winning streak and was looking like a future champ at that weight. Recently it has not been all sunshine and rainbow. He has lost 3 of his last 4 and a change in weight class night be what Jimmie need for his career. Stamann has been looking sharp as of late. His only lose in the UFC is to title challenger Aljamainn Sterling. Should be an interesting match up of two good fighters moving up in weight.

Razak Alhassan v Lazzez: The most underrated fight on the card. Alhassan is a murder with his hand with his best win in the UFC coming against Niko Price( 43 second KO). He is coming off a long layoff after dealing with some personal issues but I'm very happy to see him back. I don't know a lot about Lazzez. He is making his UFC debut and has only gone to decision one in his entire career. At 6'2 he should at least have the reach advantage.
