UFC: Brunson v Shahbazyan

UFC: Brunson v Shahbazyan
Full betting odds released for UFC on ESPN+ 31: Brunson vs ...

Brunson v Shahbazyan:
Brunson: (+230) Brunson is a true vet of the UFC. With an 11-5 record, he has fought the who's who of the middleweight division for the past couple of years. Known more for his wrestling, Brunson has become a very well rounded fighter as of late and his patience has become his biggest attribute. Brunson used to get in crazy wild brawls somethings and those were the fights that he lost more times than not. A calmer Brunson is the one that will need to show up Saturday if he wants to get his hand raised.

IMPORTANT STATS: 100% Takedown Defense, 2.80 Takedowns per 15 minutes, 3.39 Strikes landed per minute, 2.91 Strikes Absorbed per minute

NOTABLE WINS: Machida(KO), Hall(KO), Heinisch(UD), Kelly(KO)

Shahbazyan: (-300) The Golden Boy is what they call him. Edmen is the future of MMA. He has been training in every area and mixing them all together to find the perfect blend for MMA. His goal is to be the youngest UFC Champ and if can get past Brunson, he will take one huge step toward making that happen. He has wicked striking where he uses great boxing skills and perfectly sets up kicks off those punches. Ten of his eleven wins are by KO in the first round. We could witness the coming out party for another big star in the UFC.

IMPORTANT STATS: 75% Takedown Defense, 4.11 Strikes Landed per minute, 2.16 Strikes Absorbed per minute, 62% Striking Defense.

NOTABLE WINS: Tavares(KO), Marshman(KO), Byrd(KO), Stewart(SD)

Calderwood v Maia:
Calderwood: (-185) Joanne is a real warrior. She had a title shot in the books and still took this fight because she didn't want to wait until the end of the year. She is tough as nails and has good striking. She has been getting better on the ground and has started become complete MMA fighter. We will find out if being active or the waiting game is the way to go.

IMPORTANT STATS: 6.19 Strikes Landed per minute, 4.31 Strikes Absorbed per minute, 55% Takedown Defense, 47% Striking Accuracy

NOTABLE WINS: Lee(SD), Faria(SUB), Casey(UD), Letourneau(TKO)

Maia: (+155) This is a big fight for Maia. This would be the biggest win of her career. She was clean striking and fast hands. Her ground game is pretty good too so look for her to go for a takedown if she is having trouble on the feet.

IMPORTANT STATS: 4.05 Strikes Landed per minute, 38% Striking Accuracy, 53% Striking Defense, 50% Takedown Accuracy

NOTABLE WINS: Modafferi(UD,SD), Davis(UD), Andrade(UD),

Luque v Brown:
Luque:(-190) Luque is one of the most underrated fighters in the welterweight division. At 28 years old he has already racked up eleven UFC wins. His striking is lethal. He is not someone you want to mess around with on the feet. His ground game is very good too with two of his UFC wins coming by submission. Vicente is bad man that will look to get the respect he has earned with a win Saturday.

IMPORTANT STATS: 65% Takedown Defense, 53% Striking Accuracy, 52% Striking Defense, 5.66 Strikes Landed per minute

NOTABLE WINS: Price(SUB, TKO), Perry(SD), Muhammad(TKO), Santos(UD)

Brown:(+155) Randy is on a two fight winning streak after an up and down start to his UFC career. He has a complete game with the ability to finish the fight on the ground or on the feet. The one weak point of his game is that while is is good all around, he is not great at anything and can struggle when going against someone who is elite at one aspect of the game. This would be the biggest win of his career if he can get his hand raised.

Picks come out Saturday.👊 Updated Record: 76-39, 9-2 in Main Events.
