UFC Vegas 10: “Waterson vs. Hill” Fight Card and Start Times | BJPenn.com

Waterson v Hill:

Waterson(+105), MMA Record: 17-8, UFC Record: 5-4, Current Streak: Two Losses: Waterson has fought almost ever big name you can think of at 115lbs and under. The one thing missing from her legacy is a UFC title. The Jackson-Wink product seemed to be headed for one until she met Joanna. She is on a two fight skid and looking to get back on track for one more run at the title before she hangs it up. One thing she needs to do to get back in the win column is throw more volume with her strikes. She is very technical but doesn't open her hands up enough and that is why she loses judges decisions. She is good on the ground as well with nine of her wins coming by way of submission so look for her to try and get the fight there if need be.

IMPORTANT STATS: 52% Striking Accuracy, 1.68 Takedowns Per 15 Minutes, 1.1 Submission Attempts per 15 Minutes, 48% Striking Defense

NOTABLE WINS: Kowalkiewicz(UD), Herring(UD), Casey(SD), VanZant(SUB)

Hill(-130), MMA Record: 12-8, UFC Record: 6-6, Current Steak: One Lose: Hill is the textbook definition of a volume striker. She has landed the second most significant strikes in UFC Strawweight history. She has been one of the hottest women's fighters in the world and she should still be on a winning streak after her "lose" to Gadelha. Hill has been in the game a long time too. She has the most fights in Strawweight history with 15. She will need to push the pace in this fight and not let her opponent get comfortable at any time if she wants to get her hand raised.

IMPORTANT STATS: 5.76 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 49% Striking Accuracy, 64% Striking Defense, 72% Takedown Defense

NOTABLE WINS: Cifers(TKO), Lookboonmee(UD), Yoder(UD)

Worthy v Azaitar:

Worthy(-135), MMA Record: 16-6, UFC Record: 2-0, Current Streak: Seven Wins: Worthy did not take the easy route to the UFC and his record shows it. He has wins and loses against a ton of current UFC fighters while on the regional circuit. That experience has payed off because he is off to a great start to his career in the octagon. He has good striking to go with a sneaky good ground game. He will be looking to smash another prospects dreams in the lightweight division.

IMPORTANT STATS: 57% Takedown Defense, 4.44 Strikes Landed per Minute, 3.09 Strikes Absorbed per Minute, 50% Striking Accuracy

NOTABLE WINS: Pena(SUB), Smith(KO),

Azaitar(+110), MMA Record: 12-0, UFC Record: 1-0, Current Streak: Twelve Wins: Sometimes nicknames fit fighters to good and Azaitar is one of those fighers. "The Bulldozer" will in fact, plot forward and swing hooks all day until one lands on the button. He did look better in his last win with him being more patient and got rewarded with a walk off KO in the first round. A former champ in the promotion BRAVE FC, he has a whole country behind him in Morocco. If he gets the win on Saturday, it will propel him into a fight with really big name and then sky is the limit for him.

IMPORTANT STATS: 7.61 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 100% Takedown Defense, 50% Striking Accuracy, 57% Striking Defense

NOTABLE WIN: Packalen(KO)

Quarantillo v Nelson:

Quarantillo(-250), MMA Record: 14-2, UFC Record: 2-0, Current Streak: Seven Wins: Billy is another killer at 155lbs that is looking to climb the hardest ladder in the UFC to the top. He is one of those fighters that is good at everything but also not great at anything either. I think he is better on the ground then on the feet so look for him to get the fight there and get one of the many sneaky submissions he has in his arsenal.

IMPORTANT STATS: 7.43 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 79% Striking Accuracy, 2.82 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per minute, 42% Takedown Accuracy

NOTABLE WINS: Carlye(UD), Worthy(TKO),

Nelson(+200), MMA Record: 13-3, UFC Record: 1-2, Current Streak: One Wins: Nelson got off to a rough start in his UFC career, with two losses coming by way of finish. He then came back and won his next fight by first round KO. He has KO power in both hands and can shut anyone's lights out. The Canadian will look to put together his first win streak in the UFC.

IMPORTANT STATS: 2.73 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 47% Striking Defense, 36% Striking Accuracy, 2.8 Submission Attempt per 15 Minutes

NOTABLE WINS: Reyes(KO), Worthy(KO)
