Breakdown: UFC: Ortega vs Korean Zombie
Breakdown: UFC: Ortega vs Korean Zombie
Ortega vs Korean Zombie: 145lbs
Ortega(+155), MMA Record: 14-1 1NC, UFC Record: 6-1 1NC, Current Streak: One Loss: Ortega will look to bounce back from his first career loss this weekend. He has also had a string of injuries that has delayed this fight for about a year. Ortega has some of the best jiu jitsu in the Featherweight division. If he grabs any part of his opponents body, it is likely that he is going to take it home with him. His striking has improved leaps and bounds since his debut. He was the first person to knock Frankie Edgar out and while he did get pieced up by Max Holloway, he had some decent moments on the feet in that fight. He has the third most submission wins in Featherweight history with three. He is also tied for third in total finishes with six. A win on Saturday would put Ortega right in line for another title shot at 145lbs.

Korean Zombie(-185), MMA Record: 16-5, UFC Record: 6-2, Current Streak: Two Wins: Since coming back from his mandatory military service, Jung was been on quite the hot streak. His only loss was that wild ending to the Yair Rodriguez fight, which he was winning. He has one of the most polished games at 145lbs. His hands have dynamite in them and his ground game is very good too. He recorded the first ever Twister finish in UFC history. He has not been to a decision in over ten years so we know he is going to come out looking to finish the fight. He is tied for the most fight night bonuses in Featherweight history with eight of them. Zombie will get another shot at the Featherweight with a big win this weekend.
IMPORTANT STATS: 77% Takedown Defense, 4.58 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 41% Striking Accuracy, 60% Striking Defense
NOTABLE WINS: Edgar(KO), Moicano(TKO), Bermudez(KO), Poirier(SUB), Hominick(KO), Garcia(SUB)
Andrade vs Chookagian: 125lbs
Andrade(-135), MMA Record: 20-8, UFC Record: 11-6, Current Streak: One Loss: Andrade is one of the very few woman fighters that have true KO power. What she did to Rose and Karolina was scary. Her ground game is great too and would say she has slowly become a complete MMA fighter. She is in the top ten in almost every category at 115lbs. She has the most total fight bonuses with seven. She has the most KO/TKO win and the most finishes with three and four of them respectively. Finally, she is also first all time in significant strikes landed per minute with 6.88 strikes. Now in a a new weight class, Andrade will look to climb the 125lb ladder and become a two weight champion.
IMPORTANT STATS: 6.88 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 76% Takedown Defense, 49% Striking Accuracy, 5.3 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per Minute
NOTABLE WINS: Namajunas(KO), Kowalkiewicz(KO), Torres(UD), Gadelha(UD), Hill(UD), Calderwood(SUB), Penna(TKO), Moras(UD), Pennington(SD)
Chookagian(+115), MMA Record: 14-3, UFC Record: 7-3, Current Streak: One Win: I have to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Katlyn. I respect her as a fighter but her style is so boring. It gets hard to watch sometimes. She has only has three finishes in 14 wins. She is the definition of a point fighter. She will do just enough to get a decision win and she is very good at it. Maybe moving down in weight will result in more power but I would guess not. I have also heard her talk about wanting to start a family soon which could mean she has one foot out the door already. I'm very interested to she how her move down to 125lbs goes for the "Blonde Fighter".
IMPORTANT STATS: 50% Takedown Defense, 4.19 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 35% Striking Accuracy, 62% Striking Defense
NOTABLE WINS: A. Shevchenko(UD), J. Maia(UD), A Davis(UD), Calderwood(UD), Aldana(SD), L. Murphy(UD), Eubanks(UD)
Bukauskas vs Crute: 205lbs
Bukauskas(+280), MMA Record: 11-2, UFC Record: 1-0, Current Streak: Seven Wins: "The Baltic Gladiator" is a big power puncher. He was only be to a decision once in his career. He is a tall and long fighter for 205lbs. He is still very green and in his only UFC fight he did put himself into a couple of bad positions. He is big and strong and hard to takedown which could come in handy in this fight.
IMPORTANT STATS: 100% Takedown Defense, 3.6 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 36% Striking Accuracy, 4.6 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per Minute
NOTABLE WINS: Michailidis(TKO), Nielsen(TKO)
Crute(-350), MMA Record: 11-1, UFC Record: 3-1, Current Streak: One Win: One of the best prospects at 205 look to get another win this Saturday. Crute is the future of this sport. He already at 24 years old has a nearly complete game. His ground game is a little better than his stand up but both are very good. Anyone that submits Paul Craig has a dangerous ground game. The one problem a have with him is he does look to force certain positions and exchanges that has gotten him into trouble in the past. I'm very excited to see what the future holds for young Crute.
IMPORTANT STATS: 81% Takedown Accuracy, 55% Striking Accuracy, 4.08 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 2.23 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per Minute
NOTABLE WINS: Oleksiejczuk(SUB), Alvey(TKO), Craig(SUB), Birchler(TKO)
