UFC Fight Card, Date, Time | MAIN EVENT

Figueiredo vs Perez: 125lb Title

Figueiredo(-315), MMA Record: 19-1, UFC Record: 8-1, Age: 32, Height: 5'5, Reach: 68 Inches, Current Streak: Four Wins: One of the men responsible for saving the Flyweight division puts his belt on the line for the first time this weekend. Fig has real KO power in both hands and can shut the lights off at a moments notice. If you think shooting a takedown and trying to get this fight to the ground is best strategy, you might want to rethink that game plan. He has seven wins coming from submissions and one of the nastiest guillotine chokes in the sport. I believe Figueiredo has what it takes to carry this division for a while and bring more eyes to the Flyweights. Grades: Striking=9.25/10, Grappling=8.75/10

*IMPORTANT STATS: 61% Takedown Defense, 55% Striking Accuracy, 51% Striking Defense, 2.9 Submission Attempts per 15 Minutes

NOTABLE WINS: Benavidez(KO,SUB), Elliott(SUB), Pantoja(UD), J. Morales(TKO)

Perez(+250), MMA Record: 24-5, UFC Record: 6-1, Age: 28, Height: 5'6, Reach: 65.5 Inches, Current Streak: Three Wins: Perez took this fight on eight weeks notice after Cody Garbrandt pulled out because of a injury. He is a very well rounded fighter, comfortable with any direction the fight goes. He is on a three fight win streak and his last win coming by way of a very rare leg kick TKO. Perez will try and play the role of spoiler for one and take home that championship belt. Grades: Striking=8.75/10, Grappling=8.75/10

IMPORTANT STATS: 4.68 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 3.03 Takedowns Landed per 15 Minutes, 61% Striking Defense, 50% Takedown Accuracy

NOTABLE WINS: Formiga(TKO), Espinosa(SUB), De La Rosa(UD), J. Torres(TKO)

Shevchenko vs Maia: 125lb Title

Shevchenko(-1300), MMA Record: 19-3, UFC Record: 8-2, Age: 32, Height: 5'5, Reach: 65.5 Inches, Current Streak: Five Wins: One of the most dominant athletes in the sport make her return to the cage this weekend. She has virtually no weakness's and can finish the fight in almost ever way. She is in the prime of her career and looks to only get better with every fight. Her title run is very similar to Anderson Silva's because it seems she is just leaps and bounds ahead of her opponents in almost every aspect of the MMA game. A win this weekend would put another well deserved gemstone on her title belt. Grades: Striking=9.25/10, Grappling=9/10

IMPORTANT STATS: 77% Takedown Defense, 3.06 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 2.12 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per Minute, 63% Striking Defense

NOTABLE WINS: Chookagian(SUB), Carmouche(UD), Eye(KO), Jedrzejczyk(UD), Pena(SUB), Holm(UD), Kaufman(SD)

Maia(+850), MMA Record: 18-6-1, UFC Record: 3-2, Age: 32, Height: 5'4, Reach: 64 Inches, Current Streak: One Win: Do you believe in miracles! Because you might have to if you think Maia comes away with the big upset win on Saturday. She one hundred percent has a chance but it is a very slim chance. She has to take Valentina down and control her on top and maybe find a submission somewhere in there. If she does get the win, it will without a doubt be the biggest upset in UFC history. Grades: Striking=8.5/10, Grappling=8.75/10

IMPORTANT STATS: 50% Takedown Accuracy, 0.23 Takedowns per 15 Minutes, 3.92 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per Minute, 53% Striking Defense

Perry vs Means: 170lb

Perry(-145), MMA Record: 14-6, UFC Record: 7-6, Age: 29, Height: 5'10, Reach: 71 Inches, Current Streak: One Win: Regardless of what you think about him personally, Mike Perry always comes to fight. A big power puncher who is also as strong as an ox, Perry is a tough match up for anyone at 170lbs. Not having any legit MMA coaches in his corner didn't seem to affect his performance in his last fight. He seems to have calmed down since finding out that he is going to be a father in a couple of months. He has loads of experience against high level opponents and is entering his prime as a fighter. Grades: Striking=8.75/10, Grappling=8.5/10

Means(+120), MMA Record: 30-12-1 1NC, UFC Record: 12-9 1NC, Age: 36, Height: 6'2, Reach: 75 Inches, Current Streak: One Win: Means has seen almost everything there is to see in the Octagon. Over twenty UFC fights against some of the best fighters over the last decade, he brings a ton of experience into this fight. At 36 years old, one does have to wonder how many miles he has left on his engine. One thing  for sure is that Means will not go away easily and should make for a great fight before the the two title fights. Grades: Striking=8.5/10, Grappling=8/10
