UFC on ESPN 19: Make your predictions for Hermansson vs. Vettori

Hermansson vs Vettori: 185lbs

Hermansson(+140), MMA Record: 21-5, UFC Record: 8-3, Age: 32, Height: 6'1, Reach: 77.5 Inches, Current Streak: One Win:

Jack Hermansson has been knocking on the door of a title shot at Middleweight for a couple of years now. Every time it looks like he is going to get that key win to earn his chance, he falls just short. Well, with the division up in the air right now, this might be the best chance Hermansson will get for awhile. He bring a pretty well rounded game to the cage with his bread and butter being his sticky grappling/ground game. His "Jokertine" is like a regular guillotine on steroids. His opponent better be cognizant of his neck or it will be a quick night for him. He has underrated striking that he does not get enough credit from fans and media members alike. You do not get eleven KO's by accident. He does have a toe injury that could be a factor in this fight but the fact that he came out and has been public with it makes me think that he is not to concerned about it. If Hermansson gets a big win this Saturday, he will jump right to the front of the line for a shot at the 185lb belt. Grades: Striking: 8.5/10, Grappling/Ground Game: 9/10

*IMPORTANT STATS: 2.19 Takedown per 15 Minutes, 35% Takedown Accuracy, 5.08 Sig, Strikes Landed per Minute, 2.52 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per Minute

Vettori(-160), MMA Record: 15-3-1, UFC Record: 5-2-1, Age: 27, Height: 6, Reach: 74 Inches, Current Streak: Three Wins:

Marvin Vettori looks to get the biggest win of career this Saturday in the main event of the evening. He takes this fight on about ten days notice so it will be interesting to see what his gas tank will look like if this fight goes into the later rounds. He too, like his opponent, brings a very well rounded game into the cage. His striking is crisp and he can keep up with the likes of the champ of the division, Israel Adesanya, in that department. His ground game is good too, with his last three finishes coming by way of submission. Italy's best fighter has his work cut out for him in this fight, but he is one of the toughest guys in the UFC and there is no doubt that will show up and give his all this weekend. Grades: Striking: 8.5/10, Grappling/Ground Game: 8.75/10

IMPORTANT STATS: 80% Takedown Defense, 67% Striking Defense, 4.33 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 43% Striking Accuracy

NOTABLE WINS: Karl Roberson(SUB), Andrew Sanchez(UD), Cezar Ferreira(UD)

OSP vs Jamahal Hill: 205lbs

OSP(+150), MMA Record: 25-14, UFC Record: 13-9, Age: 37, Height: 6'3, Reach: 80 Inches, Current Streak: One Win:

OSP looks to make one more title run at Light Heavyweight late in his MMA career. After flirting with Heavyweight for a couple of fights, OSP is back at his natural weight class and looks to take out another prospect. A veteran of the division, he has 21 total fights at 205lbs, which is second all time. With that experience, OSP has really rounded out his MMA game in the last couple of years. He came into the UFC as a big strong former Division One football player with cannons in his fists. He has since added a decent ground game where he does not look lost like he did early in his career. He famously has four Von Flue choke wins in the UFC, so do not let this man get on top of you and definitely do not go for a guillotine. It seems like OSP, who got a late start to his MMA career, has kind of hit another prime where his mind as finally caught up to what his body is capable of doing. Grades: Striking: 8.75/10, Grappling/Ground Game: 8.5/10

IMPORTANT STATS: 1.23 Takedown per 15 Minute, 2.64 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 40% Takedown Accuracy, 2.88 Sig Strikes Absorbed per Minute

NOTABLE WINS: Alonzo Menifield(KO), Michal Oleksiejczuk(SUB), Tyson Pedro(SUB), Corey Anderson(KO), Yushin Okami(SUB), Marcos Roderio de Lima(SUB), Patrick Cummings(TKO), Shogun Rua(TKO), Ryan Jimmo(SUB), Nikita Krylov(SUB), Gian Villante(TD)

Hill(-180), MMA Record: 8-0, UFC Record: 2-0, Age: 29, Height: 6'4, Reach: 79 Inches, Current Streak: Eight Wins:

Jamahal Hill goes for the biggest win of his career this weekend. Undefeated, Hill takes a big jump up in competition for this fight but the UFC has put him on the fast track for a reason. A striker that uses his length to his advantage, Hill will look to stay on the outside and try and pick his opponent apart with volume strikes. His ground game is the big question mark coming into this fight. He has zero wins by submission, which does not mean he can not get his first, but it does mean he does not look for that as an easy path to victory. A win in the co-main event would easily be the biggest of his career and elevate him into the top 15 rankings at Light Heavyweight. Grades: Striking: 8.5/10, Grappling/Ground Game: 8.25/10

IMPORTANT STATS: 53% Takedown Defense, 7.9 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 52% Striking Accuracy, 2.81 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per Minute

NOTABLE WINS: Klidson Abreu(TKO), Darko Stosic(UD)

Dolidze vs Allan: 205lbs

Dolidze(-160), MMA Record: 7-0, UFC Record: 1-0, Age: 32, Height: 6'2, Reach: 76 Inches, Current Streak: Seven Wins:

Roman Dolidze is one of my favorite prospects at 205, if you want to call a 32 year old a prospect. Georgian fighters are having a great year and he is a big part of it. He has finished all of his opponents, with four coming by way of KO and three coming by way of submission. He will be comfortable no matter where the fight goes and will look to get another statement win like he did in his last fight. The sky's the limit for Dolidze and a win on the main card will bring more attention to a fighter that should be on everyone's radar.  Grades: Striking: 8.75/10, Grappling/Ground Game: 8.75/10

IMPORTANT STATS: 4.47 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 86% Striking Accuracy, 0.94 Sig. Strikes Absorbed per Minute, 71% Striking Defense

NOTABLE WINS: Khadis Ibragimov(TKO)

Allan(+135), MMA Record: 13-5 1NC, UFC Record: 1NC, Age: 27, Height: 6'1, Reach: 75 Inches, Current Streak: One Win:

John Allan has some of the quickest hands at 205lbs. 9 of his 13 wins have come via TKO/KO. Do not let that make you think that he is just a striker though. He is a BJJ Black belt and has the ability to lock up a submission on the ground too. He will be looking to derail the hype train of his opponent and start his own with a win this Saturday. Grades: Striking 8.75/10, Grappling/Ground Game: 8.5/10

IMPORTANT STATS: 2.54 Takedown per 15 Minutes, 66% Takedown Accuracy, 3.59 Sig. Strikes Landed per Minute, 51% Striking Defense

NOTABLE WINS: None
